An entheogen, in the strictest sense, is a psychoactive substance (most often some plant matter with hallucinogenic effects) which occasions a spiritual or mystical experience. In a broader sense, the word “entheogen” refers to artificial as well as natural substances which induce alterations of consciousness similar to those documented for ritual ingestion of traditional shamanic inebriants, even if used in a secular context.
This website aims to provide information, videos, articles, lectures and interviews gathered from the public domain and other sources about entheogens and their uses in ancient and modern culture.

How is it possible that in a world where the Universal Declaration of Human Rights specifically states (article18) that:
“Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.“
The United Nations at the same time persecutes the use and possession of sacred plants from many indegious cultures all over the world which they have been using in their spiritual (religious) rituals since centuries. (Coca, Cannabis, Peyote, Mescaline, Psylocibine, to name a few)
Most man-made synthetic drugs (thousands of them) are legal and called prescription drugs but the few plants considered sacred by millions of people all over the world are made illegal while according to international law they have the right to consume them for religious/spiritual purposes, a use which is very well documented throughout the ages by historians and anthropologists all over the world.
International laws and human rights are clearly ignored and violated by the UN and member states when it regards the so called “drugs” laws and from all the thousands of “drugs” known to man, only a handful have been made illegal, and most of those illegal ones are Entheogens.
